Boost your Fireplace Surround - Real cement tiles VS creative DIY ideas - get the same look for less

One of the latest trends happening right  now is the fireplace makeover. If it's going to take prime place in your lounge room it definitely needs to look its best. Cement tiles offer the most beautiful array of patterns, but unfortunately these beauties are not in everyone's budget. Inspired by Pinterest here are our favorite ideas to revamp your fireplace surround.

An even easier technique to get the same look is to use Quadrostyle peel & stick vinyl wallpaper. While they aren't heat resistant ( don't use them on any surface that gets hot or subject to ashes ) they can cover a tiled or stone surround fireplace with just a few simple tools.

They're a breeze to install, no special tools required. If you don't get it right the first time just peel it off and re-position it. Trimming the edges is easy with a cutter & smooth out any air bubbles with a plastic card like a credit card. Click here to see how easy they are to apply
